These all natural bath salts will bring some serious relief to you and your children if you are suffering from sinus or seasonal allergy issues. They are simple to make and contain easy to find ingredients that you can feel good about using! The wintergreen and eucalyptus oils will help any body aches, especially with a good, long soak in the tub, plus they’ll help you feel invigorated, in addition to the sinus relief.
There is also an option with this recipe of using a different top on the mason jar to use this as an aromatherapy treatment, in addition to the bath salts. This is a nice way to open up your sinuses without taking the actual bath.
All you need are a few simple ingredients that you probably already have around the house, plus some wintergreen and eucalyptus essential oil
. I love this star cutout mason jar lid
to use it as an aromatherapy treatment for my sinuses and with the addition of a twine bow
these wintergreen and eucalyptus bath salts will make a great gift for friends or loved ones who suffer from sinus issues.
To be sure you have enough of the baking soda and Epsom salt
to make your jar look full all the way, I like to measure it out first in the actual jar, instead of the mixing bowl. Sometimes it can come up a little short and if you’re giving it as a gift, it looks unfinished, so put the baking soda in the jar up to the 4 oz. mark ( If you have a Ball brand one, it’s right on the side of the jar.) Then top it off with the Epsom salts to the top of the jar.
Those ingredents do tend to settle when you whisk them, so I think this is partially why they come up looking like less in the jar. Now, pour them into the mixing bowl and whisk together well, then add in your essential oils.
Whisk all the ingredients together until well blended. (Take a deep breath while you’re mixing, it smells amazing!) Now, put the mixture back into the jar and finish off with a nice twine bow, or some ribbon and a cute label.
If you want to do the option of the aromatherapy lid, you can swap that out right away for the regular one, or if you’re gifting it, tie the one with the holes on using the ribbon for a nice look! This would make a great gift for someone who is under the weather for sure!
